What we build
Six trades, worked by the owner
The inside and the outside of a house, taken in the order the job needs them. Chuck does the work himself, the way he has since he took the business on.
Remodeling
Full residential remodeling that adds value or space to a home — taken through the trades it needs, start to finish.
Carpentry & framing
Skilled carpentry and structural framing, square and plumb, from the first wall to the last piece of trim.
Porches & decks
Custom decks and porches in whatever configuration the house and the lot call for.
Wood siding & repair
Installation and repair of wood siding on residential homes, matched to what is already there.
Drywall & rot repair
Drywall repair and wood rot remediation — finding the cause before closing the wall back up.
Pressure washing
Roofs, home exteriors, sidewalks and driveways washed down — the service reviewers single out by name.
The specialty few contractors offer
Sing Square Log homes, built to a patented system
Pioneer is an authorized builder of Sing Square Log Homes — a patented double-wall square log system invented by Peter Sing. Chuck has showcased the system at the Seattle Home Show.
It is not the trade most general contractors keep. The logs are milled and stacked to a method, and the result is a wall that behaves differently from a conventional log home.
- Patented quarter-sawn, all-vertical-grain solid timber double-wall logs
- Five-inch-thick walls with a dead-air space for energy efficiency
- Virtually no shrinking, cracking or checking over the life of the wall

The work, named
Framed, decked, sided and finished
Pioneer's own photographs — framing still open over the water, decks handed back, homes finished. The place and the stage, and nothing the record does not hold.
